Disorganization: 5 Reasons It’s Harming Your Quality of Life

Are you living your life to the fullest that you possibly can?

If the answer to that question was yes, then great I am very happy for you in all your successes. But if the answer to that was a dreadful NO, then let’s take a look at why that might be so.

A lot of times being disorganized can hold you back to the degree that you can’t really function in life any more. And even past that you start to not care what happens and you just let life take you where it wants you to go instead of where you want to go.

It starts to control and define who you are leaving you to just accept what it hands out. Where does that leave you? Yeah I know it leaves you living life, right? Or does it? Is the amount of stuff that you have in your life leaving you on the side of the mountain that you don’t want to be?

5 Reasons disorganization is harming your quality of life

1)The amount of clutter and stuff you have in your home is overtaking your living, dining, and sleeping spaces leaving no room for movement thus not allowing you to get done everyday tasks that need to be accomplished.

2)The amount of late fees that just keep piling up because you can’t find where you put that bill statement. That will surely put your bank accounts in a heap of trouble. And what about over buying food, toilet paper, toothpaste, clothes, socks… just because you can’t see past all of the clutter to see what you actually have and don’t have.  Do you perhaps have a job promotion that you want but because of disorganization you just can’t get things together therefore losing the opportunity.  All of these situations plus many more that I haven’t mentioned are costing you more money than you think.

3)There it’s happening again you and your spouse are arguing again about how much stuff is piled high in your bedroom and at this point you can barely see the bed.  You start to find that spending quality time with your family is going down the drain quickly. Your kids are embarrassed about the way the house looks so they choose to go to friend’s houses and stay away as long as possible. The friends that you once had are no longer there not because they chose it that way but because you have put up a wall around your home so no one could come visit. All because of the clutter. It’s putting strains in your relationships.

4)You know that one day when you have tripped over that same box ,that is sitting in the middle of your floor, that you are going to end up in the hospital with a broken leg or worse. You are constantly in a state of stress and worry over late bills, unexpected visitors, your family giving up on you and just leaving all of which is taking a toll on your body. You feel as if you were twenty years older than you actually are. It’s causing your health to decline.

5)It’s keeping you from being and becoming the person you really are and want to be. Having so much clutter all over your home leaves you with no room to grow, not physically but grow into that person that you have hid for so many years. There is no real possible way for you to do those things that interest you the most or spend extra time with friends and family because you are buried six feet under a pile of stuff that constantly needs your undivided attention. That outgoing social butterfly has to be hidden away like a princess in a tower guarded by a fire breathing dragon in hopes that some day you might be set free.
